FakeTheBitch also down for over a month and it was also hosted by a bulletproof off-shore company, just like COPP.com. FTB - RamNode and COPP - Quasinetworks Ltd.
This is sketchy; he either got targeted by hackers, both sites turned into spaghetti OR he was arrested for extortion/CP.
At this point, I don't think either is coming back, maybe he'll find a new host for his crap if he's not in jail already, but this site is getting more popular anyway...

Another possibility, he is dead or in hospital. Or maybe he ran away with the tons of money he earned from ads, closing the sites before he gets caught.

Well maybe lately law focused more in internet issues of childporn and revenge porn, and finally decided to do something about the site. Too much kid pictures in there, i was surprised how the site could be online for years in the not-deepweb...

Another conspiranoic option is that the site was a big bait for pedos and police theirselves used it to catch pedos, posting these images.

Well lets see the next days, if the site comes back (hope not) or is done for good.

I can definitely see that happening, there's no way a site like that would run on the surface web for so long without catching the eye of law enforcement, I mean I've seen posts on there that lasted YEARS, dating back to 2011

What people should be really disturbed about is that by selling the website wholesale, it someone decides to buy it then they can just start picking through your PMs and uploads at their leisure.

Not that he couldn't already have been doing that, but presumably people trusted this anonymous owner because the site had existed for so long. But now literally anyone could pick it up - even from law enforcement - and nothing would be "private" to them anymore.

If passwords weren't even being hashed securely, it's worse.

Actually that's what I'm thinking.
If it was shut down for content reasons, they would not allow it for resale with all it's current content available again.
That would include content shared in messages/pm'ng
If anything it's a link tactic, to try & get ideas on who some of the people are that were there.

Regardless if you were just an average member there, I'm running on an instinct that nothing good can come from trying to get personal things back.

i found out what happened. like someone said before, copp.com used a more bulletproof host that usually turns a blind eye to complaints. However no hosting provider on this planet is bigger than the police, and none will ever accept child porn.

as more cp kept getting posted, quasi networks received more abuse reports and visits from police. Not to have their own business raided by police, they finally told admin they are cutting his services off. He's selling it now because he has no other option, that was on of the more lenient service providers. Everyone else will terminate his services within weeks of him switching.
